Crave I Tiger print sweater

Tiger Print Sweat

I like to browse Topshop now and again for those certain beauties you come across but will never buy due to the expense of the ONE item.
I instantly fell in love with this tiger print sweater which reminded me very much of versace-esque prints used in their collections.
It cost £36 I think, and although it is a very beautiful print I can imagine because it is from topshop EVERYONE will have one and they won't look as unique.

Do you like the print of is it too eccentric and daring?

Lots of love,

Mexican outing:Outfit numero #24

Hello lovlies!
Hope you all had a wonderful christmas! I am posting an outfit as I am wearing the poncho I have craving for months!!
I bought it from H&M on boxing day and unfortunatly it wasn't in the sale but it was £2 cheaper than I thought! It has a beautiful aztec pattern inspired by old mexican cultured ponchos.
I shall post a few christmas presents up tomorow, I mainly got books! I am a little bit of a geek so will be doing an awful lot of reading!

See you soon!

Yesterday's news :Outfit numero #23

Hello lovlies!
This is what I wore yesterday, I am posting this one instead because I am wearing my usual levi shorts and the crazy metallic tshirt I purchased from the charity shop.

I have been feeling less christmassy because of the weather. It is a rather huge disapointment that there was snow over a week ago which lasted ONE DAY, then the rain slushed it all away.
I am still wishing for a white christmas though!

Today, I went to the candle factory and it was so lovely diving back in the dark amongst all the trees through country lanes and with houses in the middle-of-nowhere being compleetly over the top with wonderful, dazzling lights and decorations!

I shall be hopefully having a lovely lazy day in tomorrow watching lots of christmas films and drinking a ridiculous amount of tea or hot cocoa to get in the festive spirit. That or pop into town to buy the last few of bits 'n' bobs for my family.

Hope you had a lovely day!

Music/Benjamin Francis Leftwich

My best friend is wonderful. She bought me tickets to see my favourite artist 'Benjamin Francis Leftwich'!!!!

I am so unbelieveably excited, after seeing him at YNOT festival this year I have been searching aimlessly for tickets and nearly bought these in Febuary.

Here's a lovely song by the lovely Mr Leftwich:

I have probably posted this about a million times before but I cannot help my love for his beautiful music!

DIY jacket

Helllo!
I havent posted in a few days so I thought I would do a DIY as I have been uber creative over christmas!

Step One:

Grab a leather jacket

An old rock tshirt you don't wear (do not cut up your favourite shirt!)

Safety pins

Step Two:

Cut out the logo or name on the shirt.

Grab you safety pins and pin each corner and the pin he middle of each side to keep it secure.

SIMPLES.

You will then have a punk-like leather jacket and with a bit more of customizing (STUDS WHICH I NEED TO GET!) you will end up with a completely different jacket that is a staple in your wardrobe.

I shall post an image of mine when I have a decent camera ready!
My images shall be better this new year as I am saving up for a proffesional camera which I can take everywhere!

Lots of love,

CRAVE/Sock Suspenders

I have always had an odd attraction to sock suspenders, I’m not sure why I do, all I know is that I really need to get some.

Shall have to purchase these V. soon. Probably after christmas when I have money....
I have an urge/ craving for all things weird and wonderful.

Today, I have been making christmas presents for friends and will post a DIY post this weekend of what I have done. They make brilliant vintage christmas pressies!

Rocky Horror:Outfit numero #22

Hello lovlies!

This is what I wore today, well I threw on the gold jacket this evening as I went out. I have to say I love the metallic trend this season and when I found this gold 'lazy blazer' as I call it, I ran over screaming like a little child!
Today, in college we finished off making our maxi skirts. Firstly, mine went distrasously awful! But this week, I stayed in a few lunches to catch up with a new black cotton material and have nearly finished!
With the two pieces of the skirt (front and back) I overlocked both sides and fitted in an invisible zip.
This afternoon, I overlocked and sewed the other side with a 1.5 seam allowance and started my waistband.
The waistband, in my opnion was the trickiest to get my head around.
As pinning the waistband was difficult because the waistband needed to have 4cm left over for the button hole so we had to stretch the fabric to fit the interfaced waistband as the skirt was cut on the bias.

Over the holidays, I shall unpick the hem and re-iron and stitch it as I wasn't happy with the outcome today. I felt I rushed it so as I am a perfectionist and feel so passionate about sewing I really wanted to accomplish finishing my maxi skirt over christmas.

Hope you have had a lovely day and happy last day of college/high school for christmas tomorrow!

Lots of love,

DIY suspender shorts

Hello lovlies!

Step One:

Denim shorts (Or any pair you fancy!)

Black braces that you use on trousers (£1 from a charity shop!)

Step Two:

Put on your shorts and measure from the hem of the shorts to around the middle of your thigh.

Get the braces and cut off the amount you measure making sure the buckle clip is on the end.

You need 2 of these for each side of the shorts.

Step Three:

Sew on the brace inside the bottom of your hem.

Then your finished!

You can style these suspender shorts with over the knee socks or if your daring enough, a pair of lace stockings!

The Nutcracker: Outfit numero #19

Military top: £2.50 from an antique shop
Bodycon skirt: £1.99 from H&M
Fur Coat: £20 from an antique shop
Wedges: £10 from Vetir

Hello!

Just a quick outfit post of the day!
In college we started making our maxi skirts which were cut on the bias (fabric cut on diagonal of fabric) which made the skirt have a stretch. Now, I chose a difficult fabric which frays really easily and struggled with this a lot! But, I shall be getting some fabric this weekend this time long enough! And will post what I have done. I am also shooting my 'secret' photoshoot this weekend which is based on part of my brief from college. We were given a word or theme and had to develop this with research on what we were going to do with our shoot. We had to use imagination, creativity and innovation. I shall post these pictures up when I have shot them.

Hope you all had a lovely day!

DIY Wednesday (on thursday!): Crosses ear cuff & Western wonder

Hello,

Just a quick post on showing you how to make your own ear cuff instead of spending over a tenner for one!

I APOLIGIZE IN ADVANCE AT THE AWFUL PHOTOS!
If you have any questions about this tutorial, please comment and I will get back to you straight away!

Step one:

Get either 10cm (if you want an extra row of chain) of Chain. Gold or silver, your choice.
An ear stud from a craft shop (they sell them in packs so you can make as many as you like!)
Wire
Jump rings OR use wire
Cross charms OR charms of your choice.

 These are jumprings.

Step two:

Attach the chain with one jump ring to the stud and add a cross charm like this:

Then make an ear cuff with wire and attach with a jump ring with the chain.

Step Three:

Then add your cross charms on the chain where ever you like!

WESTERN WONDER

1. The collar tips.

From designer to high street, these beauties are being worn everywhere although at a pricey rate. I would not pay £10 for one so I am thinking a DIY post on this soon?

What do you think?

2. Cowboy boots

3. The bolo tie.

I have been craving one of these for a LONG time! So when I saw them hit the catwalk I had to get one before anyone else did! I like to be the first to wear something because when it is worn by everyone the trend gets boring and overrated.

I am loving this western trend, what do you think?

Tearooms and fudge

Today, I vistited Dagfields with my lovely Mother. This is a place of antique treasures galore!
I love going there, browsing through some old, musty books and galavanting through vintage jewellery and clothes and shoes!

I found the most WONDERFUL christmas jumper with a tree on the front. I would SO be wearing that everyday if I bought it. I didn't purchase it though, unfortunatly as it was £25 and I have been saving up lots of money for christmas presents.

I did buy a top for £2.50 which I will be wearing tomorow and shall post an outfit picture up. I bought some wooley mittens for £3 and some disney videos! Tehehe.

After a hard day shopping we hit the tearooms for a lovely cup of tea and some lunch, which was delicious! We got a strawberry and kiwi with our salad! I get amused easily...
I would definitely recommend dribbling in the traditional sweet shop at all the vintage style jars with yummy treats in them!

I definitely did some bargain hunting today instead of splashing out, so on saturday I will be in Manchester doing some christmas shopping and shall purchase bargains and will post what I have found so you can grab some similar bargains too!

What I wore today: I had my fur coat on which I hardly ever wear but it's so warm in this wintery weather I shall be wearing it a lot more! I only realised today it is a child's coat. Oopsie. I wore my white shirt and fairisle jumper with some leggings and my chelsea boots.
You should check out my Mum's blog : http://www.craftymama-sarahjane.blogspot.com/

Her blog has only just started but she has done many creative blogs in the past posting up items she has made such as jewellery, dolls and everything interior! Shes is a fabulous and imaginative mum and makes a lot of things for me and my other siblings, hope you love her as much as I do! How cheesy ;D

I shall post up the tutorial for the ear cuff tomorrow so I can put images on also to make it easier and more visual instead of listening to me waffling on!
Lots of love,

Never call it quits :Outfit numero #18

Blazer: charity shop £5
White shirt: jumble sale 30p
Leggings: Primark £2
Braces: Charity shop (British Red Cross) £1

Hellooo,

This is what I wore today. I thought I would go more tailored chic and wore black leggings to dress it down with a white chiffon-like shirt, braces and a black blazer. I slapped on some red lipstick for a bit of colour and wore my warm snuggly red snood my mum made me to prepare for the winter weather.

This is the ear cuff I have made which I will post up tomorow for a tutorial, this picture isn't very good at showing the cuff but it is really comfortable to wear and looks great for a grunge look. (You all know I love grunge!)

What do you think?

Lots of love,
